Definition of diseases treated with combined protocol C+JK

Stomach cancer

It occurs when stomach cells grow out of control, is also known as gastric cancer and affects stomach function.

It is a cancer that shows no symptoms at the beginning so it is difficult to detect it, it usually takes years for the cancer to form.

Symptoms:

  • anaemia
  • Nausea
  • Indigestion
  • Abdominal pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Blood in the stool
  • Inflamed stomach
  • Feeling full
  • Vomiting (sometimes with blood)
  • Discomfort above the navel

Many of the symptoms can be confused with other ailments, it is always recommended to go to the doctor if the symptoms persist or worsen, a stomach cancer that is detected in time prevents it from spreading to other organs.

Treatment for stomach cancer is through surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination depending on the individual's condition, disease, and the part of the stomach where the cancer develops.

Esophageal cancer

This cancer occurs when the cells in its lining begin to grow unchecked outward through the layers, the esophagus into the duct that connects the throat to the stomach.

The layers of the esophagus are formed by the epithelium (squamous cells), the lamina propria (it is the part under the epithelium) and the mucous muscle (it is the layer that is under the lamina propria).

Symptoms:

  • cough
  • Anemia
  • Vomiting
  • hoarseness
  • Blood in the stool
  • Continuous chest pain
  • Involuntary weight loss
  • Bone pain if it spreads
  • Trouble swallowing food

It is important to go to the doctor if you have one or more symptoms, detection at the first stage of the cancer is important to be able to treat it successfully.

Types of esophageal cancer:

  • Squamous cell carcinoma; it forms in the layer of the epithelium most common in the neck area
  • Adenocarcinoma; cancer forms in the cells that produce mucosa.
  • Gastroesophageal junction tumor; cancer forms at the junction of the esophagus to the stomach.

There are different treatments for esophageal cancer

  • Local treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy, or endoscopic treatments
  • Systemic treatments such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy drugs, and immunotherapy

Thyroid cancer

The thyroid is a gland that is located under the adam nut, at the base of the neck, this gland regulates heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature and weight.

The cells of the gland begin to grow unchecked causing cancer.

When the cancer begins to form there are no symptoms, but as the tumor grows it causes pain and inflammation of the area.

Symptoms:

  • hoarseness
  • Cough without a cold
  • Pain at the base of the neck
  • Difficulty swallowing or breathing
  • Noticing a lump at the base of the neck
  • Swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck

Types of thyroid cancer:

  • Sarcoma
  • Papillary cancer
  • Follicular cancer
  • Lymphoma
  • Medullary cancer
  • Anaplastic cancer

Treatment for thyroid cancer may include surgery, radioiodo, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or a combination based on the affected area, the state of the cancer, and the patient.

 sciatica

Lumbar inflammation that affects the sciatic nerve and as a result creates numbness, weakness, tingling and pain in the leg.

Sciatica can be the response to a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, pelvic lesion, or a tumor.

The symptoms of sciatica are tingling, dull or severe pain that can cancel the movement.

To treat sciatica, analgesics, anti-inflammatories, application of heat and cold and therapeutic massages are given to relieve the impingement of the nerve.
